Inside Sales Executive (On-Site, Hybrid, Remote)

Reporting to the Commercial Director, North America, the Inside Sales Executive will play a fundamental role in achievingour ambitious customeracquisition and revenue growth objectives. The primary responsibility is to generate new business opportunities and appointments through outbound engagement (emails, calls & social selling)ensuring defined KPI’s are achieved. The role will involve regular collaboration with Marketing & field-based Business Development teams, supporting campaign initiatives to achieve predefined objectives.

Job can be office-based (Raleigh, NC), hybrid, or fully remote.

Basic salary + performance-based bonus plan.

Role and Responsibilities

New Business: leads, prospects and opportunities:

  • Use web-based tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Google, etc. to develop client contacts and account based marketing
  • Call new clients.
  • Respond to PI web leads / inbound requests as first point of contact to conduct needs assessment.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapports, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.

Collaboration:

  • Work strategically with Marketing and Sales Teams to support marketing campaigns including promoting webinars, customer days and other marketing driven events through outbound engagement.
  • Actively participate in the performance analysis of campaigns and assess success / build contingency plan for lower-than-expected results.
  • Schedule introductory business development calls, conference calls and demos between sales team members and target company decision makers.
  • Work closely with field-based Business Development to ensure smooth transfer of information and accounts.
  • Collaborate regularly with Marketing leads, Commercial Sales Operations & Senior SalesLeadership.

CRM System:

  • Track all activity with prospects and clients in Hubspot.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Create new contacts daily through outbound calling and social selling.
  • Ensure contacts created are consented to receive further communication while adhering to data privacy laws (example GDPR).
  • Accurate data entry.

Research:

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.

Your Profile – Skills and Required Experience:

  • Inside Sales experience, preferably within the life science industry.
  • Proven track record in delivering sales results against a plan, in particular achieving quota.
  • Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM.
  • Ability to create qualified opportunities through outbound calling and social selling.
  • Strong solution selling skills with ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; confident communicator with a good telephone manner and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently to generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting activities.
  • Ability to build rapport with new potential customers, discover challenges and align needs to PI solutions.
  • Must be a quick learner who excels in a rapidly changing environment – willingness to learn something new every day.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English.

Education:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration, or related experience.

Prospects for career development:

A promotion to the role of Business Development can be granted after two years in this position and due to the excellent results achieved.
