The CIOMS is a body set up under WHO and UNESCO. It has developed the following pharmacovigilance guidelines:

- IV – Benefit-risk assessments
- V – Practical issues in pharmacovigilance
- VI – Clinical trial safety data
- VII – Development safety update reports (DSUR)
