Temporal Relationship

Temporal relationship is considered positive if the event occurred during the use of the drug and/or within a plausible range based on the half-life of the drug. Categories for temporal relationship are:

  • positive
  • suggestive
  • compatible
  • weak
  • negative

The temporal relationship is assessed based on drug kinetics, toxicity mechanisms, involved organ, and the physiopathology of the event.
