Unique Ingredient Identifier (UNII)

A unique ingredient identifier (UNII) is an alphanumeric identifier linked to a substance’s molecular structure or descriptive information and is generated by the Global Substance Registration System (GSRS) of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
